Just a week after the Pirate Bay trial ended, another site finds itself up against the music industry. IsoHunt, one of the leading BitTorrent sites, is fighting out a dispute with the CRIA in court today. Of course, everything can be followed through Twitter.

    1. Swoosie Said:

The other submission has more Diggs(at the time of writing this) but isn’t on the front page, weird…These kinds of dupes happen with TorrentFreak all the time.

    2. Paddington Said:

Ironic, coming from one power user to another

    3. Mutia Said:

I like stories when they come from non-power users, makes digg feel like it was intended to feel

    4. Fulk Said:

Oh no! It is a circle jerk war!

    5. Yumi Said:

The other submission is from msaleem – a power spammer.

    6. Shmuley Said:

    7. Denji Said:

      What the ***** is that?

    8. Galilhai Said:

      It’s a spammer

    9. Laken Said:

      BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH

    10. Kaelem Said:

      Tomorrow is another day

    11. Nubia Said:

Not isohunt, I think it is one of the better torrent sites. With top searches on the right, and text searches in bold, it is a well designed site. It would be sad to see it go down.

    12. Zeshawn Said:

I onestley think ISOHUNT should loose this trile becaosue music is constantantly being pirate and it is up to industry too stop them from cause music too cease too exist =/

    13. Ketan Said:

Music existed before the music industry. If we are ever lucky enough for the artists to regain control of their work it will exist after the CRIA and RIAA leaches die.

    14. Caesarea Said:

I honestly* think ISOHUNT should lose* this trial* because* music is constantly* being pirated* and it is up to industry to* stop them from causing* music to* cease to* exist =/Better spelling and grammar will allow people to actually consider your opinion.

    15. Annis Said:

      ***** the RIAA and CRIA!

    16. Noxolo Said:

      I read CIRA,,,, too bad.

    17. Istas Said:

You fight a Wesker controlled Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 5

    18. Fidelma Said:

This week’s MacLean’s magazine has an article about crime in Canada and how gangbangers have their lawyers use discovery to clog up the system. They are like Pablo Escobar. Escobar used the court system to get discovery and used the documents to see how the DEA was tracking him and use process of elimination to see who was ratting him out. Now, gangbangers in Canada are doing the same thing. They use discovery to sit behind bars and get 2x to 3x credit for time served, figure out how the operations were launched against them and who were the narcs and people ratting them out. They make the trial so slow and costly that justice is ineffective and intimidate witnesses and the prosecution.I guess what I’m trying to say is that the CRIA is using a play straight from the book of Medellin drug cartel and hardcore gangbangers. That should tell you everything you need to know about the CRIA, RIAA, MPAA and other associations. IsoHunt proved a valuable point here.

    19. Jenibelle Said:

At least it’s in a country with a very fair, unbiased court system. I hear that the pirates vs. Somalian Recording Industry Association are not faring too well.

    20. Huela Said:

Damn I hope they don’t go down! I’ve been using Isohunt for years!

    21. Cybele Said:

The point made about searching google for "coldplay filetype:torrent" is a valid point, but seems to be largely ignored. Are google too big to go after? Or does it all fall under safe harbour in the DMCA? I really don’t know enough about this stuff. Either way, if this is being filed in Canadian court, then i’m assuming that DMCA doesn’t mean as much if not anything.I still remember the day that the DMCA was signed. I used to frequent an IRC channel on NewNet called #to-warez-is-human, which was one of the first IRC channels on that network that moved from a ratio system to a full leech system. They closed down very shortly after the signing out of fear of the DMCA.

    22. Nadie Said:

No one is going after google they are the governments lap dog . They have been closely cooperating with the US government from the start don’t.

    23. Keturah Said:

Cowards should sue Google and see how well done their ass gets after that BBQ..To find a torrent I use google first and pick from the best most reliable sources. These guys think they can change the world by bashing the ears of small fry..HA!

    24. Xandy Said:

For stepping up to the plate and forcing the CRIA into court, I am truly impressed with isohunt. So impressed, that I plan to donate to them.***** the CRIA and their horrible tactics.

    25. Kylie Said:

***** THE…. who the hell are CRIA?

    26. Laken Said:

      I dunno… JFGI.

    27. Sylvia Said:

Isohunt is definitely the best torrent site around these days. TPB’s ads suck(ed). Torrentz kept bombarding me with porn. agreed; who the ***** are the CRIA?

    28. Umed Said:

      OH *****!

    29. Fala Said:

Copyright = the new censorship. Death to copyright!
